Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Overview: the course introduces the role of CSR in the company. It gives a short overview of history and theoretical background of CSR, ecological sustainability and community relations practices for organizations and business. Course objectives: by completing the course students should have the ability to analyze and discuss different CSR practices in business as well as business ethics and ethical decision making.
Syllabus
  • Course structure:
  • 1st lecture – Introduction. CSR theory and background.
  • 2nd lecture – Ecological Sustainability. Scandinavian Model.
  • 3d lecture – Corporate Perspective. Corporate-Community Relations.
  • 4th lecture – Responsibility and Ethical decision Making.
  • 5th lecture - Aligning Firm Values with Firm CSR Actions & Motivation employees.
  • 6th lecture – CSR’s Effects on the Company and Stakeholders
Assessment methods
Form of course completion: 20% - active participation during seminars 40% - seminar presentation which can be prepared in groups of 3-6 people or individually during seminars 40% - final exam (in case of successful presentation – final paper based on presentation)
