1. What to do

zaplaťte poplatek
zkontrolujte za 2 týdny, že platba správně dorazila
zjistěte termín přijímacího řízení

Dokud nekliknete na 'Podat přihlášku', můžete dělat libovolné změny.

Přihláška je pouze elektronická. Není třeba zasílat papírovou kopii nebo doklad o zaplacení.

2. My application form is different from my friend's

Applications for places on different fields are different. As a result, your form might not contain some of the text fields the others do (e.g. those to fill in with your secondary school grades, information related to the medical certificate, examination exemption application and/or other items). Please make sure that you fill in all the required fields (marked red). Once you have done so, the form will offer you the option Submit this application.

3. When and where am I supposed to submit my secondary-school leaving exam certificate?

U přijímacího řízení. Maturitní vysvědčení stačí ověřené střední školou (jde-li o cizí školu, může ověřit i notář).

4. I have forgotten my electronic application password. What shall I do now?

Z bezpečnostních důvodů hesla nesdělujeme telefonicky. Pokud máte ve Vaší přihlášce korektně vyplněný kontaktní e-mail, můžete si heslo změnit. Změna hesla je možná pouze u přihlášek v aktuálním přijímacím řízení. Pokud přihlášku nemáte úplně vyplněnou a podanou, založte si zcela novou. Pokud máte e-při hlášku již úplně vyplněnou, podanou a zaplacenou, heslo nadále nepotřebujete, informace o výsledcích přijímacího řízení zjistíte i bez hesla, po zadání čísla přihlášky a data narození.

Pokud neznáte ani číslo přihlášky, můžeme Vám jej sdělit e-mailem, ovšem pouze za předpokladu, že o něj požádáte z e-mailové adresy, kterou jste uvedl(a) ve své e-přihlášce jako kontaktní, a uvedete své celé jméno. Číslo vaší přihlášky je také uvedeno v papírové pozvánce k přijímacímu řízení, kterou obdrží každý uchazeč poštou nejpozději 3 týdny před konáním přijímacího řízení. Kontaktní adresa je uvedena na konci strany.

5. I wish to change my field of study

If you want to change your field of study, please create a new application. If you have already paid the application fee, you may want to send an email to the address above requesting the transfer of the application fee to the new application. This is, however, only possible until the end of the application submission period; additional changes to field of study are not possible after the submission period.

6. Do I have to provide my email address and telephone number?

Although it is optional, you are strongly recommended to enclose this information, since it allows the Office for Studies to quickly get in touch with you in the event of any problem. Please make sure that you check your email regularly.

7. I would like to apply for a place on a concrete specialization, but I can only see fields.

Studies at the University are organized as follows: The University offers degree programmes each of which has one or more fields of study. Some fields are further divided into specializations. Create your application by selecting a field from the ones offered. After providing your personal information, you will be asked to specify the specialization.

8. How can I pay the application fee?

After you submit your application, you will be prompted to pay the application fee. The System will give you the total sum to pay, bank account number and your unique variable symbol identifier. Please use this information in your postal money order, payment order, internet banking transaction, or with a bank teller directly at your bank (usually subject to fees).

9. Payment-related problems

Omylem zaplacená nižší částka: doplaťte zbytek pod správným variabilním symbolem.
Zaplatil(a) jsem již před dvěma týdny, ale v přihlášce nevidím potvrzení: Naskenujte kopii výpisu z účtu či potvrzení o zaplacení a zašlete na kontaktní adresu (viz níže).
Uvedl(a) jsem špatný variabilní symbol nebo žádný: Naskenujte kopii výpisu z účtu či potvrzení o zaplacení a zašlete na kontaktní adresu (viz níže) .
Nezúčastním se zkoušky, vrátíte mi poplatek? Nikoliv, manipulační poplatek se nevrací.

Pozor: při platbě ze zahraničí bankovním převodem je nutné vždy zvolit režim platby OUR (poplatky hradí odesílatel platby).

10. What is the fee payment deadline?

Let us consider the following situation, where the application submission deadline is February 28: Provided you pay the application fee in the evening of February 28, its payment date might be that of the following day, i.e. March 1. That is why the University even accepts the payments made on March 1, or the first weekday following February 28. Therefore, you may also pay the fee in the morning of March 1 since its payment date will still be March 1. However, if you do so late in the afternoon of March 1, its payment date might be March 2 and, as a result, the fee might not be accepted.

The electronic application must be submitted by the midnight of deadline date (usually February 28), though. It is not possible to do so later on.

However, in the leap year, the application can be submitted by February 29.

11. Nemám pozvánku k přijímacímu řízení (ztratil jsem, nedošla, ...)

Pozvánka by měla k uchazeči dorazit nejpozději 2 týdny před termínem přijímacího řízení. Veškeré informace o místě a čase konání však naleznete i ve své e-přihlášce. Není nutné mít s sebou u přijímacího řízení papírovou pozvánku, stačí pouze předložit platný doklad totožnosti (občanský průkaz, cestovní pas) a dále je nutné znát číslo své přihlášky.

12. I do not understand some of the terms used in the description of fields of study

If you do not understand some terms related to the studies at the University, please read through the following section.

Degree programme covers a certain specific area of studies, e.g. Physics, Humanities, etc. Every applicant is admitted to one of degree programmes offered. A university may offer one or more fields of study within the same degree programme.
Field of study specifies what the student specializes in within his/her degree programme. Students can enrol in one or more fields (depending on the type of studies since these can be single-subject or double-subject); additionally, study fields can differ in the available study modes (see below). During their studies, students can switch to other field(s) within the same degree programme under certain circumstances and therefore change the focus of their studies or the study mode.
Bachelor's degree programmes aim to prepare students for the jobs which require knowledge of the latest findings. The standard length of studies (including practical training) is usually three years. Bachelor's degree (Bc.) is conferred on the graduates of these programmes.
Navazující magisterské studijní programy jsou zaměřené na získávání teoretických poznatků založených na soudobém stavu vědeckého poznání, výzkumu a vývoje, na zvládnutí jejich aplikace a na rozvinutí schopností k tvůrčí činnosti. Standardní doba studia jsou dva roky. Absolventům studia v magisterském studijním programu se na AKADEMII STING uděluje akademický titul "inženýr" (Ing.).
Full-time study mode allows students to attend lectures, seminars, classes, etc. given by academic staff.
Combined studies mode represents a combination of full-time and distance modes.
