Článek se zabývá analýzou klesající výše rozpočtů Ministerstva obrany České republiky (dále jen MO ČR) a realizovaných úsporných opatření. Cílem výzkumu je zjistit, jaké metody lze uplatňovat v rezortu obrany při řízení finančních zdrojů v období rozpočtové restrikce při dodržení efektivnosti veřejných výdajů. Analýzou průběhu této krize, jejím rozfázováním a zhodnocením přijatých opatření, kterými resort MO ČR reagoval na restriktivní politiku vlády České republiky, budou zobecněny zkušenosti a navrženy zásady a metody řízení zdrojů, které v příštím období pomohou zajistit efektivnost veřejných zdrojů. Neboť vývoj ekonomiky probíhá v cyklech a lze tedy s jistotou tvrdit, že přijde další ekonomická krize, diskutovat lze pouze o tom kdy.

The article analyzes the decreasing amount Ministry of Defence of the Czech republic (hereinafter MoD) budgets and implemented austerity measures. The aim of the research is to find out what methods can be applied in the defense sector in the management of financial resources in a period of budgetary restrictions, subject to the effectiveness of public spending. This crisis is analyzed throught the division into phases and evaluation of its measures MoD responded to the restrictive policy of the Government of the Czech Republic, will be generalized experience and proposed principles and methods of resource management, which next years will help ensure the effectiveness of public resources.
