Course objectives
Subject Business Administration II aims to develop knowledge of business economics, with emphasis on financial and economic aspects of its activities. Within the course, students will get acquainted and at the same time try to create a business plan. The course provides a comprehensive view of business economics and creates a basis for teaching in related professional subjects in higher years of study.
Syllabus
  • Main topics of the course:
  • Cost functions (two-period method and average method)
  • Breakeven point analysis for homogeneous and inhomogeneous environments
  • Sensitivity analysis of individual parameters
  • Basic calculation methods
  • Calculation of variable costs
  • Pricing methods
  • Business budgets
  • Financial analysis of a company
  • Business plan
  • The seminars will address case studies and assignments from the practice of business entities.
Assessment methods
Ungraded credit (on campus): obtaining a specified minimum number of points for activity in seminars, successful completion of a credit test and preparation of a case study in the form of a business plan; (online) submission of a credit case study in the form of a business plan Examination: (on campus) oral form of the examination; (online) defence of the case study, written solution to a problem set and (in-person or online) oral theoretical examination
