Course objectives
Corporations are like empires: they rise, and most of the time, they fall. However, around the world, some companies have managed the extraordinary feat of existing over time, mostly by re-inventing themselves. What are the secrets of companies that survive not only their founders, but also many generations of their descendants? Students who follow this course will acquire new knowledge on the micro-economical characteristics of leading companies in the world. The many case-studies provide opportunities to study real-life strategies of companies. Such knowledge is useful to develop an understanding of types of strategies companies are opting for.
