- Course objectives
The aim of the compulsory elective course Project Management is to equip students with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective project management. Students will become familiar with the key principles of project management, its importance within process management, and its practical application across various professional fields.
The course places strong emphasis on developing process-oriented and systemic thinking, the ability to work with limited resources, effective planning, teamwork, and communication skills. It combines theoretical foundations with the analysis of real-life problems and work with case studies. Students will acquire competencies in project planning, goal setting, resource allocation, risk identification, and project evaluation.
Teaching also includes interactive seminars, specialised lectures delivered by external experts, and work with the ProjectLibre software as a tool for computer-supported project management. By completing the course, students will gain a comprehensive overview of project management methods and their practical use. Guest lectures delivered by professional project managers form an integral part of the course.
