Course objectives
The purpose of the course is to acquaint students with the various instruments used in financial markets, especially equity, bond, currency and derivatives markets, as well as with the principles of operation of these markets. However, the real meaning will be fulfilled by the fact that the graduates of the course will acquire such knowledge in this area that it will enable them to actively participate in the financial markets either on behalf of someone else, or on their own account or in the role of intermediary. The objectives of the course brought to the level of effects and outputs are based on the topics discussed. For each of the topics, the graduate should acquire knowledge of such a level that it will automatically allow him to trade in the relevant financial market instruments in the future. The theoretical background on the pricing of individual instruments will serve as a basis for better decision-making and will also be better aware of the risks that financial market participants face. After completing the course Financial Markets, the student will gain general knowledge about financing through financial markets, ie both money and capital markets.
