Course objectives
The Personality of a Manager course provides students with an overview of the structure and dynamics of personality, its development, formation, and advancement. Students will study selected theoretical approaches to personality and application possibilities. The seminars will deal with a practical demonstration of the possibilities of scientific knowledge of personality, including self-knowledge concerning human resource management and self-management. The course will provide students with personality psychodiagnostic using methods designed for HR professionals.

  • 1) The personality concept and fundamental approaches in personality psychology
  • 2) Personality traits - character and temperament
  • 3) Personal performance prerequisites - abilities and motivation
  • 4) Cognition and self-knowledge of personality
  • 5) Selected psychodiagnostic methods for managers
  • 6) Personality dynamics - development, advancement, and changes in personality
Assessment methods
Credit: (on campus) attendance at seminars min. 80%, completion of continuous assignments; (online) submission of a credit seminar paper
Examination: written test + oral examination (in the case of online form held by means of remote electronic communication)
