- Prerequisites
- The course focuses on the development of practical management skills and on the expansion of managerial tools by various techniques, such as decision making methods, negotiation approaches and leadership skills, which can be used in the course of managerial work. The content of this course acts as a practical supplement to other subjects, particularly Management and Human Resources Management I. Within the course, a fundamental emphasis will be placed on interactivity and practical involvement of students, practice of specific techniques based on case studies, solution of specific case assignments, etc. The course will cover the following topics: Overview of managerial tools, methods and techniques. Management as a combination of direct instructions, leadership and coaching. Manager´s authority and its application. Personal effectiveness, self-management, self-motivation, time-management. Managerial functions, delegation of work, managerial supervision, control. Negotiation of goals, creation of target agreements. Motivation to achieve set goals. Supporting others in achieving goals, mentoring, consultations, coaching. Performance evaluation. Conducting a performance review. Group and team leadership, efficient group work. Conducting meetings. Moderation, facilitation of group work, creative problem solving. Project management methods. Strategic management, managerial vision, mission and strategy. Negotiations, conducting business negotiations, manipulative negotiations.
