- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the development of management theories, key ideas, the main stream of thought, and important representatives of individual theories, spanning from the roots of management to the latest trends. Presenting the historical context of the development of management theories will enhance students' understanding of the concepts and their potential application in contemporary practice. The course establishes connections between current developments in the economic environment and the growing significance of the need for management in various types of organisations. Additionally, students will gain insights into the latest trends and prominent personalities working in the field of management. Course Objectives: - to become acquainted with the development of management theories and their key ideas; - to understand the concepts and their application potential in contemporary practice; - to comprehend the links between current developments in the economic environment and the increasing importance of the need for management in all types of organisations; - to become familiar with the latest trends and personalities in global management.

- Incorporating lectures by external managers is an integral component of the course to inspire students to delve deeper into the subject. The seminars will incorporate case studies and assignments drawn from the practical experiences of both business and non-business entities.

- Zápočet: (prez.) min. 75% účast na seminářích, získání určeného minima bodů za aktivitu na seminářích a zpracování průběžných zadání; (dist.) odevzdání zápočtové seminární práce odpovídající stanoveným požadavkům Zkouška: (prez.) písemný závěrečný test + ústní zkouška; (dist.) písemný závěrečný test + ústní zkouška (v kontaktní či distanční podobě)
