- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce students to more advanced knowledge of the field of psychology and its importance in managerial work. It builds on the knowledge of general psychology and applies it to the personality and activities of the manager. A grasp of the topics will assist students in understanding themselves and other people so that they can better communicate, organize and lead with them.
Course Objectives:
- to learn about more advanced topics in applied psychology for managers;
- to promote the development of psychological management skills;
- to increase sensitivity to the experiences of others, particularly in the work environment;
- be able to apply psychological principles in the managerial environment of today's turbulent world. - Syllabus
- Psychology in human resource management, human psyche and its functions.
- Personality of the manager. Psychodiagnostics in the work environment.
- Self-management in the managerial role (self-knowledge, self-concept and self-development).
- Mechanisms of motivation and their use. Motivation in the work environment.
- Emotional intelligence. Stressful situations, stress and working with it.
- Communication and conflict situations. Feedback and communication in the work environment. Psychological counselling in a corporate context.
- The course links theoretical and professional concepts with practical situations and managerial practice, with particular emphasis on the role of psychology in management in today's dynamically changing and turbulent environment.

- Zápočet: (prez.) min. účast na seminářích 70 %, připravený a odevzdaný skupinový projekt včetně jeho prezentace, forma a obsah zpracování bude vyjednána s konkrétními skupinami; (dist.) odevzdání zápočtové seminární práce odpovídající stanoveným požadavkům Zkouška: (prez.) hodnocení prezentace skupinového projektu, písemný závěrečný test; (dist.) hodnocení seminární práce, písemný závěrečný test
