- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
The subject introduces students to the basics of management. The starting point is the individual development stages and current schools and trends in management. Part of the teaching within the course is also the lecture presentations of external managers with the aim of motivating students to take a deeper interest in the issue. Case studies and assignments from the practice of business and non-business entities will be solved in the seminars.
Subject objectives:
- to become familiar with the key concepts of management;
- to orientate oneself in detail in the individual functions of management;
- to consistently distinguish between different time horizons of performing management activities;
- to be able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to specific real situations of a business entity.
- Learning outcomes
Graduates of the course:
- understand the requirements for management at the level of a business entity;
- distinguish and know strategic and operational management, management in a market environment, its position and application;
- understand correlations with significant surroundings, demonstrate knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts and methods that correspond to the range of professions in the field of management;
- also acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for their future decision-making using the interpretation of relevant data within an unstable and unpredictable environment;
- master the management of more complex professional or professional activities and projects using planning, implementation and feedback tools.

- Planning of development and activities of the organization.
- Internal and external analysis of the company. SWOT analysis.

- Motivation.
- Decision-making process - problem analysis and creation of variants.
- Decision-making process - sorting and evaluation of variants, implementation.
- Control processes, feedback and personality of the manager.
