- Syllabus
Seminars:
- Introduction to the course, setting the requirements for credit. Academic texts and the process of their creation.
- Basic requirements and methodological recommendations for preparing a bachelor’s thesis. Selected methods of inquiry.
- Preparation for writing a bachelor’s thesis, choice of topic, objectives, supervisor and development of a research proposal.
- Working with information sources, information retrieval, electronic sources, library services, classification of sources.
- Data collection techniques, working with literature.
- Formulation of the thesis objective, logical structure of the thesis, principles of structuring a bachelor’s thesis.
- Basics of academic writing.
- Plagiarism and citation. Technical aspects of writing.
- Creating an outline, work plan, timeline.
- Writing process. Strategies and stages of academic text creation, self-correction, reformulation of text.
- Use of sources, citations and citation ethics. Plagiarism.
- Formal editing of academic text, editing of graphical data.

Requirements for obtaining the credit: registration for a bachelor’s thesis topic in the bachelor’s thesis schedule within the school information system, completion of one test during the semester, preparation of a seminar paper, and active participation in seminars.
